WhatsApp Channels

Apr 30,2024 By Alex

Yes, the new Whatsapp function that many people have been waiting for, the channel, is online. It is somewhat similar to WeChat’s public account function or much like Telegram Channels, both are used to share information. This is undoubtedly ecstatic for many friends. Now, let’s explore WhatsApp channels! This feature can completely change the way you chat and promote your business. In this blog, I’ll show you what WhatsApp channels are all about and how to make the most of them easily.

However, I have to tell you is that our GB WhatsApp has this feature too!

What is a GB WhatsApp Channel?

GB WhatsApp Channels (or, as some call it, GB WhatsApp Broadcast Channels), This is WhatsApp official explanation of this new feature:

"Get information and relevant updates directly in WhatsApp by following the channels of people and organizations that interest you. Follow a channel to get updates like text, links to information, photos, or videos from them.

Updates appear in a separate tab of the app, away from your personal chats and calls. While some features might feel familiar to WhatsApp chats, channel updates are a one-way broadcast rather than a conversation. Followers can’t reply directly to updates or send messages to channel admins. Instead they can show their interest in a channel’s content by voting on polls or adding emoji reactions to channel updates.

You can find channels under the Updates tab (formerly the Status tab)."

If you're familiar with Telegram, you'll quickly grasp the concept of "channels." GBWhatsApp has also launched its own version of channels. It acts as a one-way broadcast tool, allowing administrators to reach a large number of subscribers or followers simultaneously. However, there's a catch: followers can react to messages, but they can't send any messages in the channel. This is a one-way street. Now, it’s worth noting that while the GBWhatsApp channel is being rolled out gradually, it’s currently limited to users in specific regions.
